Maya loves swimming, acting and does screen combat with a fight coordinator.
Recently, Maya took part in London photographer Sophie Mayanne's Behind The Scars project.
Maya has trained with the National Youth Theatre, and has performed with the Scottish Youth Theatre, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Lyceum Youth Theatre, and Stagecoach.
Maya is a young trustee of Whizz Kids. Maya has Scoliosis on her back, a titanium metal rod in her back and an unknown genetic muscle conditions, She manually uses a wheelchair and wears foot splints. Maya can transfer out of her wheel chair easily.
